The Oxford Schools' Challenge is an exciting youth running initiative open to primary school children (aged 4-11 years old) of all abilities. Students are encouraged to run 12 miles in the lead up to the event, by breaking it down into half a mile or mile distances at home or at school. Students then participate in the Oxford Schools’ Challenge, by running the final celebratory mile course which finishes on the Oxford Half finish line, completing their own Half Marathon.
The Oxford Schools’ Challenge takes place on Sunday 15 October, and all entries and communications are managed through participating Primary Schools within Oxford.
Entries for the 2023 Schools' Challenge are now being considered with registration opening in July and closing on Friday 29 September*.
If you would like to get your school involved, please email the team at schools@limelightsports.com for more information.
*Please note that due to considerable demand for the event, numbers will be continuously monitored and be considered on a first come first served basis. Therefore, please ensure you register early and receive confirmation to avoid disappointment.
