Dear Richmond Park Resident,
London Duathlon will take place once again in Richmond Park this year, offering people of all abilities the opportunity to race through its stunning surroundings. London Duathlon is an exciting event that offers the unique opportunity to complete a running and cycling challenge on a closed route. There are several different distances and events taking place on the day, including some exciting team relay options. All incorporate a ‘RUN, BIKE, RUN’ challenge.
For health and safety reasons and to ensure our participants enjoy the best possible experience on race day, the roads and trails throughout Richmond Park, including the Tamsin Trail, will be closed to all vehicles and non-event cyclists on Sunday 3rd September 2023.
Due to the popularity of the event, Richmond Park will be busier than normal, with the main concentration of people located in the official event village based near Roehampton Gate (see map). There will also be functional announcements via a PA system during the day, but the sound will not drift beyond the park.
Should you require any further information about the road closures in Richmond Park or about the event in general, you can find a few more details here or you can also contact the London Duathlon Team at ‘hello@londonduathlon.com’.
